TEST REPORT

Test Method:

Functional and Proof Load, applied and held for one minute. Functional load (700 pounds). Proof load (1,050 pounds).

Functional Load: 

700 pounds Load applied and held for 1 minute.

Acceptance:

Permanent deformation and no structure failure that would result in a catastrophic failure.

Results:

Chair tested to 750 pounds with no change in structural integrity. Load continued to be applied to the Proof load.

Proof Load:

Chair loaded to 700 pounds x 1.5 = 1,050 pounds.

Load applied for 1 minute.

Acceptance:

Permanent deformation acceptable provided there is no structural failure that would result in a catastrophic failure.

Results:

Chair tested to 1,050 pounds with no permanent deformation or structural failure.

The Endo 7 chair frame was loaded as outlined for the functional load taken to 750 pounds, because of the weights available for loading.  Load was held for 1 minute with no noticeable change to the chair frame.  Upon completion of load application of 750 pounds, the weight was increased to the Proof load of 1,050 pounds.  We determined the proof load to be 1 1/2 times the design limits of 700 pounds.

Results a Follows:

Endo 7 chair frame was initially loaded to 100 pounds to stabilize the chair frame.  Measurements were taken from edge of the tube frame in the middle of the frame.  In addition to this measurement, the upper back tube measured in the middle along with the measurement of the lower seat support tube at the back corner.
